Marilyn is a distinguished trainer, competitor, judge, and breeder of horses for eventing and dressage. She was President of the Ground Jury at the 2016 Rio Olympics and a member of the Ground Jury at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. She was also President of the Ground Jury at the World Equestrian Games (WEG) in 2010 at the Kentucky Horse Park.
Marilyn works with all levels of riders at Applewood Farm, and is well known for bringing the average horse and rider to their full potential. Experienced eventing and dressage schoolmasters with winning track records are available for lessons at all levels. Applewood is a lively community where riders participate in clinics, schooling shows and lessons, plus sharing good times in the barn or out hacking

Applewood offers six ESDCTA-registered Dressage Shows, Combined Tests (dressage and show jumping) & Clear Round jumping for riders of all levels. There are also two USEA Young Event Horse (4- and 5-year olds) shows, and two Mini Event Competitions which include 4 levels (Starter, Beginner Novice, Novice and Training) for riders.

Clinics are held throughout the year for both eventers and dressage riders. All horses and riders from entry level through advanced are welcome! Participants are scheduled in groups of four to six, at the appropriate level for their stage of development and their goals.
